      • CB Radio
        02/09/17
I have the urge to install a citizens band radio in the van.

        I miss running radio.

The downside is having the antenna on the roof and driving in parking ramps.

        Ho hum.

      • Emergency Preparedness Idea
        02/07/17
So I saw one of those battery banks to charge a cell phone on sale. After some thought, I purchased it.

So, I keep that in the van plugged in. Then, if I have troubles on the road, no worries about having a dead battery on the cell phone.

Need a thirty hour day and eight days a week.

      • Hello New Day
        01/29/17
Nothing like being up early enough to watch the sunrise.

This may be a little too early. Coffee, chores, wait.

With as cloudy at it has been lately, I should also hope for sunshine.

      • Shout Out to My Hero
        01/27/17
        I love you Christina.

What better way to show you than to tell you.

      • Let It Snow
        01/15/17
I would like to have more snow in the backyard for Christina's trails. More snow would also help with coloring. I am not thrilled with the idea of clearing snow. Shoveling is time consuming. And, it may be a little troublesome for the back.

The smile Christina has with the fresh snow

      • Holiday Decorations Removal
        01/13/17
I do not enjoy putting the holiday decorations up and I like it less to take them down.

Bring the boxes in pack up and put the boxes back. Seems pointless. It is nice to look at the decor. If Christina did not like the holiday decorations I think I would not decorate.

      • Outside Time
        01/10/17
Christina really enjoys being outside. Even with the colder weather this past weekend, we went for our walks.

Dress for the weather and a walking we shall go.

      • Yard Coloring
        01/08/17
        Finished.

Colored the backyard trails with colored water. Christina enjoys it.

It was cold. I was and am tired. Hello bedtime. Hoping Christina sleeps in a little this morning.

      • Cold Weather Breakdowns
        01/07/17
So, I can not stress enough to people how important it is to be prepared for car trouble in cold weather. The same for hot weather. Or any breakdown.

Dispatching tow trucks, I see too often calls coming in in which someone broke down and the temperatures are in the single digits.
      • Backyard Fun
        01/05/17
I continue to clear the trail in the backyard. I 'groom' the trail, weather and time permitting, by dragging the sled around with the punching bag in it. The bag weighs in just over 100 pounds.

Packing the snow down helps keep the sled on course while Christina is on it. And it

      • Ring Ring Ring
        01/03/17
What better place to complain about the phone ringing.

After just over a week off from work, I find the phone very annoying. Not a good sign when the job includes answering the phone.

This is the season for vehicle breakdowns. I guess that means the phone shall ring.

      • Back to Work
        01/02/17
Now that the holiday season is over and Christina is back to school, it is time for me to go back to work.

I find I relax differently at work than when at home. Christina being home really lowers the blood pressure and keeps me calm. She also keeps me moving and I tire quickly.

        Merry Christmas

Enjoy this merry time of year. Too many find this time frustrating. Look past the humbug and see the light ahead.

Tis' the season for gift giving.

Being rushed is no excuse for not giving thought to what you purchase.

My reminder for me to run and verify my backups of the Christina pictures and videos.

      • Loving the Great Outdoors
        12/15/16
Christina really enjoys being outside. Regardless of the weather, if she wants to be outside, we go.

Christina still does not want to watch TV with me. No movies, shows, videos or anything I can thought of. It really is not a bad thing if your child would rather spend time outside than wa

      • Backyard Trail
        12/13/16
With the first snow fall, Christina and I walked the trail we will use in the backyard. I used the same path when putting up the holiday decorations in the backyard. It was more steps. Many more steps, but it will help on later days to prep the trails.

I also unpacked the sprayers for col

      • Outdoor Holiday decorations
        12/11/16
This year I decided to put up the outdoor decorations. We have three of the blow up decorations. Of course I would pick a cold and windy day to attempt to put them up. I was successful; however, I think I put a rush on getting sick this year.

Along with the decorations, I opted to be crea

      • Backup Forgetfullness
        11/23/16
I am so far behind on my backups. Having lost two drives in a year, you would think I would know better.

We made it home in one piece. The drive home was pretty typical, Angela drove, I tried to sleep, and Christina cried.

The Botox injections went well. Christina did a wonderful job, considering she received eight injections. Four in each calf. Poor girl. She did very well with the mask als

        Well, we made it.

Christina was her usual self and unhappy with the car ride. She started crying before we even made it out of the drive. She stopped crying when we took her out of the car at the hotel.

Angela just slid her into bed. A bit of wind down for us and off to sleepy

Well, it is Monday night and we have everything packed for tomorrow. We will leave after I am done with work tomorrow night. Then Christina's appointment is in the AM. The poor thing can't have any food or drink before her appointment. I guess we can be in the room when they give her the i

        09/22/08
Angela's surgery went well. It was a long day at the doctor, but went OK. Angela handled everything well, she was out for quite awhile, even in recovery. And of course, the first thing she asked for was coffee. I picked up some chocolate too.

Christina also handled it very well. Her

Angela has surgery coming up this week. Christina's appointments are the end of the month into October. I think we have surgery, neurologist, eye, physiologist, and then the dentist. The dentist appointmen

        Morning,

Christina, my little princess, has been up most of the night. I decided to try and be productive. Check email, weather, woot, blog.

Christina is so cute this time of the morning. Her eyes are big, we didn't turn on any big lights. She has a big yawn every three mi

Christina is making progress getting her legs to do what she wants them to. She is making crawling motions and can get to her destination with a lot of effort and enough patience.

This weekend was fairly quiet. Grandpa and his friend came over today. Christina received a neat toy from Jul

I finally put something together for the pictures. I stuck a slideshow in to add to the page. Angela really liked it. Got lucky on that, I just needed filler. The photo albums are all done and uploaded through July, 2008. The form to pick which gallery to look at is done(the page I stuck the slidesh

The wonderful pictures of Christina needed to be sorted. And, backed up. I am done. All of 2006, 2007, and 2008 through the first half of August.

Now, my next task is to sort and backup the pictures I pulled out of Christina's

The good news from the doctor is that Christina just has the sniffles. No CT scan needed today. We also have some ideas to try to help her sleep at night. And, to help with her stool.

Teething seems to be less of a problem the last couple days. With some luck, we will get a break from tha

Christina has been under the weather lately. All of us have.

Angela took her to the doctor today. All is ok. Just the sniffles, nothing serious. But the little squirt won't sleep at night.

And it was a good time to ask about her troubles with her stool.

Swim, swim, swim. Yesterday I took Christina swimming. It was the first time I took her by myself.

We had a fun time. Christina thought the car ride could have been better.

After swimming, we came home and had a snack. After a little play time, nap time. I wish I could fall asl

We might go camping this weekend. I am excited and worried at the same time. I think it will go well. If

Today, Christina had her 2 year NICU follow-up. The drive to Children's was the same. Cry most of the way up there, and cry most of the way back

Woke up this morning and the coffee maker was on and not brewing. Tried turning it off and back on with no luck.
