Sick sick sick

Today Angela and I are sick. Stuffy nose and sore throat to add to our joys.

Christina was in a mood today. She was uncooperative for mommy and daddy all day. Christina woke up in a good mood, but it did not last long. She refused breakfast, threw a fit for lunch for Angela. I tried lunch when I got home and that was two time outs and lead to nap. A nap did not happen. Quiet time for an hour. When I went in to get her she was smiles. Christina wanted to cuddle all day with some walking. She did not want to play, read, go for a walk, or use the gait trainer.

Christina did eat well for supper and we started bath early. She went to bed well. I hope she sleeps all night. And I hope she is in a better mood tomorrow.

Going to bed early, trying to get well before I feel completely awful.

Well the temperatures have remained colder, it is Wisconsin in December and still no snow.

It has been a pretty typical Wednesday; Angela went to do homework when I got home, Christina and I had supper, we played and went for a walk. Christina finished off a lot of mashed potatoes.

Angela and Christina went to the mall today to see Santa. Santa was feeding the reindeer, but he stopped to say hi to Christina on his way back. They also stopped by the office to say hi and show off Christina's pretty dress.

Time to snack on some fries.
And Go, December starts

Ah December, where is the snow.

Today went by fast. Christina had a good day at school and she did a wonderful job telling me about it when I got home.

I went to the gym after work. I pushed a little more today, it felt good. My legs are feeling it though.

Angela and Christina went shopping for some Christmas decorations after Christina was done with school. Christina ate well for lunch and supper. After a round of stretches tonight Christina and I went for a walk outside. It is amazing how much Christina likes being outside, it still boggles my mind. Even grasping for breath when the wind catches her off guard, she giggles as soon as she can. Angela went to do homework again tonight. They really load the homework with the online classes. The semester is almost done then Angela will get a break.

Time to fold some clothes.

Today brings the end of November. The temperature has dropped and still no snow. I am starting to wonder if I will get a white Christmas.

Christina has a good day at school. Her and mommy butted heads today, but it didn't last long. Christina and I had our normal routine of talk time(she tells me about her day), dinner, play, and our walk outside. I bundled her up in her snow suit and boots and she laughed and giggled all the while outside. She really enjoys the colder temps outside. And she likes the walks in the dark.

Bedtime went overly well. The princess was tired, no nap today. She smiled when I put her to bed with no tears or talking.

We also turned on Skype and said "Goodnight" to mommy. Angela was doing homework and it was nice for Christina to be able to see her and say goodnight.

This evening I am thinking about old times. Gives me a little smile.

Today Christina and I went to see James, Robyn, Sarah, and Ruby. Christina watched Ruby swim. Christina walked around beautifully and laughed when walking by the water slide and getting splashed.

Christina said "Hi" to everyone and also shared her monkey with Ruby. Christina also showed everyone how she could count from 1 to 10 and count backwards from 10 to 1.

When we came home she hung out mommy and then they went to visit grandma Patti. Christina sat on grandma's lap and typed on the computer.

I left for the afternoon to have coffee. It was nice to relax a bit. I also went to the gym again, quite happy for myself. Christina and I walked lots when I came home before bath. Christina wore me out.

Today I was/am sick. I have a cold, yuck. Angela is sick also and Christina is getting sick.

Today Christina and I played at home. The goal was to keep Christina from getting sick. So far she is doing ok. We had a lot of fun walking up and down the hall and peeking out the window. We also sang, read, and sat on the couch and played with some toys on our lap. Angela was at the coffee shop doing lots of homework.

We planned on seeing Uncle James and Aunt Robyn, but Christina turned on me at nap time. Christina was tired and happy to lay down. She did not take a nap however, only quiet time. The tired girl became a cuddle me and limited playing girl.

To get out of the house, I thought Angela, Christina and I could go out for dinner. Christina was uncooperative, even for Angela. Dinner was good, but I had hoped for a better outing.

Today Christina and I went swimming at the YMCA when Angela went shopping and did homework. We had a great time. Christina did wonderful walking and kicking.

I went to the gym this evening and feeling pretty proud of myself.

I am almost done with the update to email everyone. I hope to finish and send that when Christina takes a nap tomorrow.
Thanksgiving Day

Well it was a pretty quiet Thanksgiving here. Christina and I played and sang. We did a lot of walking. My back and knees feel it.

We went for a drive to the gas station for our outing today. It wasn't much but gave us the chance to sing in the car and stay out of the wind. I have a stuffy nose and sore throat so it was more for me. And I did not think I would be able to carry everything back while also carrying Christina.

Angela went to visit with family at her aunt's.

We opted for a different dinner menu today. We had steak and mashed potatoes. Christina ate very well. She enjoys the meat juices mixed into her potatoes.

Christina and I walked up and down the hall again after dinner. She took wonderful steps all day. Then it was bath time and getting ready for bed. Angela went for a drive to call a friend while Christina and I did the night time routine.

Another Happy Thanksgiving to everyone. We all have something to be thankful for.
Happy Thanksgiving!!!

Sorry for lack of updates

Sorry for the lack of updates recently. First of all Happy Thanksgiving to everybody.

Christina was ill and missed a week of school but is better now. No it was not the swine flu. She did however miss school. She was very exited to return this week.  While at school she has been doing great. The tears have stopped and she enjoys her time there. Christina uses her kid cart with no problems. She knows that when she goes to the gym she has to work and she will fuss but gets over it quickly. Mary told me that she is driving a motorized car and loves it. She eats a great snack while there most of the time.

At home she is doing well too. We got a wingbo swing and it is great. It is really hard to explain so if you go to wingbo.com you can see the swing. Anyway it is designed to promote belly time and head extension. She does real well in it. She will pull with her arms and push with her legs. It is so great to watch. The other day she was in it and grabbed shapes out of her cookie jar to hand to me. Lately Christina has been grabbing everything, very happy about that. We have also been working on walking in the gait trainer with no prompts. It is hard for her but is getting the hang of it. When we started it was all tears and now there are none.

The eye appointment went pretty well. No new news. Still can not and will not be able to tell us anything until she can tell us what she can see. I am positive that her vision is getting better and will continue to improve with time.

Phenol botox will be coming up soon again, there is no date yet but will be in December or January. I will keep everyone up to date.

Happy T-Day.
