Young Athletes is done this round and Christina has shown improvement in her abilities both physical and social.

School starts soon and Christina will be going four days a week. She will be in the morning class. She is growing up so fast.

Christina has gotten better using the 'pony'. Sometimes she needs help getting started, but once she gets going she is off to the races.

Thursday Christina started to get sick with a small fever and more mucus than usual. By Friday the fever went up. Christina is still in good spirits.

Christina has also continued being very talkative. She has increased her efforts in helping me to better understand what she is trying to say.

Saturday Christina still had a little fever for part of the day, but what a good mood. The little firecracker woke up in an exceptionally good mood and it lasted all day. She even enjoyed all of her stretches.

Sunday Christina still had that little sickness, but again in good spirits. I think Christina likes the cooler weather.

I read this in an email from one of the groups I try to keep up with. I liked it and wanted to share.

Christina has been more talkative lately. She continues to do well on the phone and we are still working on her able to hold the phone by herself for longer periods of time.

Christina has also been doing very well showing what she wants. When I have trouble figuring out what she wants like a drink, snack, potty, playing outside; Christina leads me to the appropriate place.

The wagon rides are still a hit and we discovered going backwards is fun too.

Christina has also been doing well recognizing letters on flash cards without any prompting.

Today Christina enjoyed walking around at the park with her 'pony'. And Christina helped make lunch, she enjoyed tasting to be sure it was OK.

We ventured to the park and Christina used her 'Pony' on the trail. The trail was not as smooth as I wished. Christina did well though. It was warm, but nice to be outside.

It was hardly a walk in the park; however, Christina did very well checking out the trail using the 'Pony'. We also went down by the river. Apparently we were very appealing to the bees so we did not stay long.

I need a break.

Saturday we went downtown to Summer Fest, definitely not the Summer Fest I am used to. Someone needs to pick a different name for the fest here. It was hot out and the heat was getting to Christina. She did ride a pony and enjoyed the petting zoo for a little while.

Sunday was a nice weather day and I opened up the windows. I was hesitant, but figured the house needed fresh air. Christina slept for her nap with a breeze blowing through her room. She looked so peaceful and cute snuggled under the blankets.


Sunday also brought more drama with everything going on, but I do not want to share. Maybe someday.

Wagon rides are a favorite.

Christina has been swinging, she learned how much fun it is to spin around in the swing. As christina pushed herself with her legs and pulled with her arms the swing teetered. When she let go and the swing spun around there was a look of surprise and scared. But not for long; a smile quickly came and a laugh followed. So i spun her around more winding the swing and we counted and let go. Christina was a little worried when it first started spinning but liked it enough to do again. 

Christina has also been continuing her walks in the gait trainer. It is difficult for her to move it by herself again. After the phenol and botox christina went backwards with using the gait trainer. She is getting it back and I expect she will leap ahead soon.
